Great vibes and a beautiful Devonport harbour view. The bene itself is solid but arrives buried under enough greenery to confuse a Norwegian.

Great vibes, a beautiful view and friendly staff - but how was the food? Let's find out.

So upon arrival, I ordered an oat milk iced latte. It was an absolute scorcher of a day outside so I was a little disappointed when i received my closer-to-ambient-temperature oat milk latte, but it was otherwise good in taste.

But you know what they say, it aint brunch without a bene, so I quickly ordered the $30 inclusive eggs w. hollandaise + bacon (strange?), and had a good chin waggle as i awaited my food.

So the question is, why wouldn't you just call it eggs benedict? We'll I found out when my food arrived and the fabled breakfast shared a plate with enough greenery that a nord might confuse it to be iceland. And while I might just normally ignore a few token vege garnishings, these leaves were unfortunately well prepared prompting the wifey to bully me into eating them.

The eggs benedict portion of the meal alone would score an 8.2 / 10, losing 1.8 due to the peppery taste in the potato rosti, and also due to the absence of some unnameable ethereal factors found only in a bene in the 9 - 10 range.

But having to suffer through insipid weeds that only a colon could enjoy docked another whole point off the total. So the final madrosti score for this meal is a 7.2 / 10.

Would recommend.
